No shocking result in a game when first ranked RussianCSKA (13-1) crushed bottom-ranked Kazakhstan Astana (0-15) in Moscow 110-50 on Saturday. CSKA made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Astana turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. CSKA shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Astana 's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when CSKA made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Casper Ware (178-1990, college: LBSU) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 5 assists. Serbian guard Aleksa Avramovic (193-1994) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five CSKA players scored in double figures. American-Nigerian guard Daniel Utomi (198-1997, college: USC) came up with 17 points and Russian center Andrey Desiatnikov (220-1994, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Astana in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for CSKA . They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Astana lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost.
